Help shape coworking in Cheltenham
Cheltenham Coworking CIC is a membership-driven company. If you have ideas to help independent workers in the area, we want to hear from you. Our vision is to 'go far together' as a diverse coworking community. Every three months, we hold a members' meeting to discuss how things are going and look for ways to improve opportunities for coworking.
Opportunity to run events at Create on the Square
Create on the Square is a custom-made coworking cafe, with space for 20 coworkers or up to 30 people for social events. CC Passport holders are able to hire the venue for their own coworking or other community/social/business events (NB: additional hire charges may apply). If you want to start a group, then we will help you to do just that. Suggestions for new groups already include: coworking with babies, coworking with pets and late night coworking.
Food and drink discounts at coworking-friendly cafes
At Create on the Square Cafe, CC Passport holders can receive: Unlimited filter coffee or pots of tea for £1 Free cake or fruit with your first drink of the day
School House Cafe is a coworking-friendly cafe in the St Paul's area of Cheltenham. CC Passport holders can receive: Unlimited filter coffee for £1 Free cake with your first drink of the day
Registered office address
All members will have the opportunity to use the Create on the Square venue as a registered office. Initially, this will be a basic package, which includes: Locked cupboard for your business documents We will notify you of all your mail that arrives at Create (you will need to collect from us) Your business name on our wall inside Create (We expect to expand the Registered Office service in time to include forwarding mail.)
Discount on meeting room hire at Hesters Way Resource Centre
As a member you can get 12.5% off the room hire rate of the Hester's Way Resource Centre's meeting/conference rooms. These rooms are of a high quality and are walking distance from the new Create space, so, for example, you could attend a coworking session at Create and adjourn to the Resource Centre for other meetings. To book a room: Request a room booking directly with the HWNP. At the time of booking tell them you are a member of Cheltenham Coworking CIC. They will confirm your membership with us and send you a quote

AGR Accountancy offers a wide range of advice and support from financial, HMRC and business development. Passport holders will receive 25% off all services from AGR Accountancy for the first year.
Opportunity to meet-up with other coworkers
Attend our coworking afternoons every Wednesday to work alongside other coworkers, or you could arrange to meet other CC Passport holders at a coworking-friendly space (see facilities for ideas) and use your card to identify each other.
Business profile in our members directory
Create your own profile for your business in our directory. This is a great opportunity for those who don't have a big web presence to promote your business to coworkers and further afield.

Membership Terms & Conditions
Cheltenham Coworking CIC (CC) exists to support independent workers and small businesses in Cheltenham, UK, by encouraging coworking, by promoting coworking-friendly venues and enabling coworkers to meet up.
In addition, CC seeks to encourage socially beneficial business, especially through our Create on the Square coworking cafe (CS) in Cheltenham West.
CC supports the values of the international coworking movement, by:
Collaboration – working collaboratively with others to further the objectives of CC, i.e. supporting independent workers and the local West Cheltenham community
Openness – sharing space and encouraging ideas sharing, to provide benefit for many rather than a select few
Community – working with all CC users to provide opportunities to build relationships, not simply to provide a programme of activities
Accessibility – providing space and activities that are inclusive of people from diverse backgrounds
Sustainability – sharing space and resources that are environmentally responsible
All coworkers are expected to ensure that they abide by the spirit of these values
Cheltenham Coworking CIC Terms of Membership
1. Acceptance of Terms
The services provided by CC are subject to the following terms. These terms may be updated at any time. By registering as a member of CC, the coworker agrees to abide by these terms.
2. Description of Services
a. Rental of CS space, or parts thereof (subject to further charges)
b. Rental of CS space for storage (subject to further charges)
c. Entitlement to registered office address at CS
d. Entitlement to attend the CC quarterly meeting
e. Profile on CC members only webpage (www.CheltenhamCoworking.com/members)
f. Additional member benefits as advertised on the CC website
3. No Unlawful, Prohibited or Offensive Use
As a condition of the use of the Services, the coworker agrees not to use the Services for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms. In addition, they agree not to use these services for any purpose that is likely to cause offence to other CC members and/or the local community. CC will define what ‘offensive’ constitutes on any occasion where there is confusion, but generally members are expected to err on the side of caution.
4. Use of Services
When participating in or using the Services, you will not:
a. Use the Services in connection with contests, pyramid schemes, chain letters, junk email, spamming or any other duplicative or unsolicited messages.
b. Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the rights of others.
c. Publish, post or otherwise distribute any inappropriate, profane, defamatory, obscene, indecent or unlawful information about CC, CS, or other CS users.
d. Use any material, including images or photographs, relating to CC, CS or other CS users without permission.
e. Collect information, such as names and addresses, about CC or CS users without their explicit consent.
f. Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the Services.
5. Create on the Square Building Rules
It is expected that all CS users will enjoy the use of the space and when onsite at CS, coworkers agree to:
a. Complete a risk assessment for any activity they are responsible for, as appropriate, and to review the risk assessment on an ongoing basis.
b. Treat the building, fixtures, decor and fittings with respect and not cause any damage or defacement.
c. Take sensible measures to prevent compromising the safety of youself or other CS users, in relation to fire, flood, gas, electricity, or weather.
d. Take sensible measures to prevent compromising the security of CS. In particular, designated key holders must take responsibility for the security of the doors and space there accessed.
6. Children and Pets
a. Children are welcomed at CS, but must be under the direct supervision of a parent/guardian or a designated event organiser, who must be DBS checked. As with all CS users, children use the Services at their own risk.
b. All animals are discouraged from entering CS, unless specific pet-related activities have been organised (and permitted beforehand by CC).
7. Disclosure and Confidentiality
a. CC reserve the right to disclose any information about coworkers, in relation to their use of Services, which may be requested by any legal or governmental channel.
b. Coworkers acknowledge that they may be party to confidential information, while benefiting from the Services, i.e. information disclosed by CC and/or CS users. Confidential information remains the sole and exclusive property of the disclosing party.
c. Confidential information should be maintained in strict confidence, not disclosed to third parties or used in any way to the detriment of others.
8. Registered Office Address
Coworkers are entitled to use CS as a registered office address. To do this, Coworkers must comply with Companies House and HMRC rules. It is the sole responsibility of the user to follow these rules and CS will not be liable for anyone not complying with them.
a. Both office address and residential address must be filed with Companies House.
b. Registered office address must be in the same country of the UK as where the company was incorporated.
c. Records and registers should be stored on site for inspection when required. For full list of records that should be available, refer to HMRC website.
d. An alternative location can be used to store records, but all above rules will apply, and only one alternative can be given.
9. Participation in or Use of Services
Coworkers acknowledges that they are participating in or using the Services at their own free will and decision. CWI acknowledges that CC does not have any liability with respect to access, participation in, use of the Services, or any loss of information resulting from such participation or use.
CC reserve the right to terminate any Service if you fail to comply with these terms of membership.
Coworkers may terminate this agreement by de-registering via the CC website.
The membership fee is non-refundable.
Coworkers release, and hereby agree to indemnify, defend and save CC from, and against, all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, expenses, judgements, fines and penalties based upon or arising out of members’ negligent actions, errors and omissions, wilful misconduct and fraud in connection with the participation in or use of the Services.
In the event that any provision or portion of these terms is determined to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason, in whole or in part, the remaining provisions of these terms shall be unaffected thereby and shall remain in full force and effect to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
CC carries Public Liability insurance. However, CS users should consider contents insurance for any items stored at CS.
